From Wuppertal to Cologne Cathedral (68 km) on Saturday, 10 July
On the occasion of the big summer road bike and e-bike tour from Stralsund to Cologne, we want to accompany the participants on their last stage and celebrate the finish together with them at Cologne Cathedral!
The panoramic bike tour starts at the station in Wuppertal Vohwinkel. From there, the route follows a disused railway line, the Korkenziehertrasse, via Solingen along the river Wupper and under the historic Müngsten Bridge up to Schloss Burg. There we will receive the participants of the big fundraising bike tour together. After a snack and drink, the route then goes mainly downhill on the Balkantrasse to Leverkusen-Opladen. From here it is only a short distance to Cologne Cathedral, where we will end the great day together and celebrate the great achievements of all participants with a team photo.

Summer bike tour 2019 - from Cork to Cologne
19 - 25 August 2019: A wonderful tour from Cork to Cologne
The 2019 tour started with an Irish evening; accompanied by Henning Krautmacher we spent the evening in an Irish pub with live music and got in the mood for Ireland. In the morning Henning kicked our bike tour, Mara Bergmann sat on a racing bike for the first time (which was certainly not optimal for her) and rode the first stage of almost 130 km admirably! This day offered us dry weather and impressions of the Irish countryside. The second day in Ireland was unfortunately very rainy with little in the way of a "view", the weather situation only improved on arrival in Kilkenny. The third stage in Ireland through the "Wicklow Mountains National Park" was a highlight with almost dry weather and our Irish leg ended in Dublin.
After a flight in the morning to Manchester we went on a bike ride through the "Peak District" with occasional steep sections, but scenically this was the highlight of the english leg. Our fifth day led us from Sheffield to the ferry in Kingston upon Hull, which brought us to Rotterdam overnight.
Two more, long and "warm" stages led us back to Cologne, the finale was, as usual, arrival at the "Domplatte" next to the cologne cathedral. There, besides Hennig Krautmacher and Mara Bergmann, many friends and relatives welcomed us home.
Thanks a lot to all fellow cyclists and supporters, it was again a great tour!
